Current Shower Faves

17th May 2017
As a HUGE shower fan (sorry bath lovers), I thought I’d share with you my current shower faves. There’s a mixture of body washes, skincare and haircare so if you’re after something specific, have a read!

Molton Brown Pink Pepperpod Body Wash

This travel sized bottle was given to me by the lovely team at LookFantastic. Ever since I opened it in my Easter Beauty Egg Unboxing video, I’ve never looked back. The scent (as explained in my video) is not entirely feminine in my opinion. I’d say around 3/4 feminine with 1/4 masculine. What I mean by that, is it’s got those fruity, fresh citrus vibes that aren’t overpoweringly sweet. Just what I like.
This little bottle has lasted me since the middle of April and I’ve got just under half left. I’m rationing it admittedly as I love it so much. It seems I’m not the only one that loves it as Molton Brown do Pink Pepperpod as a body lotion, hand cream, linen mist, candles etc. I WANT IT ALL.

Omorovicza Cleansing Foam

This little gem can be used in the shower to take your makeup off and help with skin impurities. As suggested in the name, it lathers with water to create a refreshing white foam on the skin. With small circular motions, you help create the foam as well as massaging it gently into your pores.
I personally don’t use this to take my makeup off, I do that pre-shower. But I use it for more of a deep clean whilst my pores are fully open in the hot water. Admittedly, it’s a small tube. I’m not sure when I’ll be able to afford a refill, so again, I’m rationing it. If you can afford it however, I’d totally recommend!!
I always feel like I neglect my face when in the shower. I’m too busy focussing on my hair and shaving my legs and body wash. Anyone else the same? Having this product literally FORCES me to look after my face more.

St Tropez Tan Optimiser Body Polish

This has to be one of my faves within the faves post. I discovered it earlier this year as I was often finding myself with unattractive patches of fake tan all over my body. I knew all I needed to do was regularly exfoliate to get rid of some dead skin and help prepare for a fresh layer of tan.
The scent is not one you’ll be familiar with in terms of the biscuit kinda fake tan smell. It’s super refreshing and contains blue micro-beads that gently exfoliate the skin. I had to take a picture and waste a bit of product JUST FOR YOU so you can see how pretty the colour and consistency is. It gives off proper mermaid vibes with a holographic, iridescent colour – HOW AMAZING. Something I wasn’t expecting. I might be doing a post on exactly how I fake tan and my routine – let me know if you’d wanna see this!

Lush Shower Jelly – Whoosh

After admitting I’ve recently fallen in love with all things lush over in my Current Lush Collection post, I had to give this another mention. Again with the slightly masculine, more refreshing scent, Whoosh is scented with mainly grapefruit, lime and honey.
When chatting to the Lush employees, they mentioned people often come back into store with their shower jellies and complain about the product. The complains are normally along the lines of ‘it falls apart, hard to hold’ etc. 9 times out of 10, it’s because people rip the shower jelly into small pieces and attempt to lather it onto their body in the shower. This isn’t how they’re designed to be used and instead, you should scoop it out whole and  once you’ve got a decent grip on it, rub all over to create a bubbly foam!

You may’ve already knew that, but heading into a lush store not know what everything does and how to use it all is very daunting, trust me. So I thought I’d say incase any of you wanted to try it.

Phillip Kinglsey Geranium and Neroli Elasticizer

Ok. Another fave amongst the faves. This has become a solid part of washing my hair, as in, I now can’t picture washing my hair without it. I never really cared much for hair treatment before as I didn’t see results. No additional treatment to shampoo and conditioner ever made that much of a difference. So I never changed & never added anything new.
Now, I just can’t wash my hair without using this. It’s the Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer in the scent geranium and neroli. If you’re a gal that often goes to the gym and sweats into your hair, ruining all of the nice washing you did the previous night. Or if you’re hair is just unruly and doesn’t really do what it’s told. When you brush it, it’s not fully smooth. YOU NEED THIS! Now my hair feels exactly how it should. Soft, healthy and easy to manage.
Pre-shower, you wet your hair (I lean over the bath) and rub in some of the product. I coat my hair from roots to the ends. Tie it up in towel and leave it for 10 minutes. I didn’t like the thought of fussing before a shower, I just wanna get in and get out. But the benefits to this is so worth a mere 10 mins. Then rinse off and continue to wash your hair as normal. It also comes in a coconut scent!
Thats all of my current shower faves and after raving and ranting about them, I honestly didn’t realise how much I loved these products! Let me know if you fancy getting any or if you’ve already tried them!

What do you want to try out?

I’ve got a sample size of the Phillip Kinglsey Elasticizer sitting around that I’ve never used because of being lazy, but you have just made me want to dig it out and actually give it ago. I love the sound of the Molton Brown shower gel scent too.
