Ultimate Favourite Spring Trousers of 2017 – Wishlist

As someone who is an avid trouser fan and is gradually steering away from always wearing jeans, I thought I’d share some of my favourite styles and colours of trousers for Spring! Admittedly, knowing me and how much I like to get my moneys worth, I’ll be wearing most ‘Spring’ trousers all year round. But for now lets pretend I have enough cash to buy new trousers every season.
I think what I love most about Trousers as opposed to jeans, is the ability to wear pretty much anything ontop and still feel comfortable. Jeans in Spring/Summer to me means everything’s all a bit too tight, I feel self conscious if I want to throw on a crop top/cropped jumper and I’m peeling them off of my skin at the end of the day (if I can last that long). Not to mention the top button having to be undone after a feast. Mom jeans?  Any day of the week. Love the chilled out vibe to them. But highwaisted Joni Topshop jeans is a different story for me and wanting to be able to breath.
So I’m SO happy that trousers are becoming more and more popular! Here are a few of my favourite trousers I’ve picked out from various shops. Unfortunately, I don’t own them all. But a girl can live vicariously through her blogposts right?
Btw, if some are now out of stock I’m sorry! They were in stock at the time of posting.

Culottes

An all time fave. I had to put them first. As a tall gall with not a lot of curves, culottes help to give me more shape and movement to my outfit. The trouble I always have is finding ones long enough, so I’m always shopping in the tall section. Here are a few faves out there for this Spring, click for prices:

Peg Leg

As I haven’t owned a pair of peg leg trousers yet, they are firmly on the wishlist. If you have – let me know in the comments what you think of them! I think they’re such a cute way to dress up an outfit. I am aware that some of the trousers in this blog post are more suited to certain body shapes for e.g the petite range/tall range. I for one certainly CANNOT fit into the ASOS petite but I’m still gonna link the trousers cos I LOVE THEM.

Printed

These always tend to be the ones I chicken out on. Every. Year. I’m always left in awe and, yeah, a bit of a jealousy to those girls that rock the patterned trousers during Spring/Summer. Buying printed trousers, to me, seems like taking a bit of a risk. I’m outside my comfort zone where I’m spending money. Not the best combination of things when buying clothes – but when it pays off – IT REALLY PAYS OFF. Here’s a few I wish I had the balls & money to buy:

Wide Leg

Again, more balls are needed for me to wear some of these but my god they are BEAUT. I feel like they’d look best with heels to elongate the legs even more and so they can drape gracefully. But being 5ft10 as it is…heels isn’t really an option for me. Unless I HAVE to. Let me know if you’ve seen someone rock the wide leg trousers in flats or if you do yourself! Either way, they’re still beaut.

Paper Bag Top

This type of tie is my fave. I’ve had, and still wear, many paper bag top skirts which may be a lightbulb moment for another post like this (Spring skirts? LEMMIE KNOW). But I’ve never owned any paper bag trousers. And I really wish I did. There’s so many pretty ones out there this spring but these 4 took my fancy! Click to see the original website.

Yay for my first fashion wishlist kinda post! I have no idea what motivated me to write this but I’m so glad I did. It was so fun! Let me know what you thought and if you’d be interested in other types of wish lists!
P.S happy spending…

Fab post lovely – I love trousers too as I rarely reach for skirts! I wear printed ones with just plain t-shirts and the print helps to dress up the outfit nicely 🙂 x

I need to get on the printed hype! Especially with Summer coming up, problem is I have too many patterned tops and not plain trousers! xx

Amazing choices. Need to get shopping now. The only pants I currently own are either jeans or skinny pants. Definitely need to invest in some wide legged trousers for summer tho.

    Love, Kerstin
